Hello all,
Just in case any of you are wondering how i am doing...
I've just finished my exams today. Feeling very relieved, heart's somewhat lighter.
It's been quite a battle the last 2 weeks since i got back from US.
Rushing revision, and dealing with a lot of issues in my life that come up especially when i get stressed... =/ Feeling very tired, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
But I thank God for sustaining me. His grace has always been sufficient each day.
I only pray that I've come out of this stronger and God has done and is doing something in me... that He might restore unto me His peace and the joy of my salvation.
For those who may still have exams, may God grant you peace, wisdom and strength!
"Yet I am poor and needy;
may the Lord think of me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
O my God, do not delay."
Psalm 40:17
Somewhere to share my life, thoughts and faith with friends, loved ones and even strangers who chance upon this place. May the Lord who loves you bless and touch your life, as He has for me.

Bedtime Meditations
Nothing is more tiring than the insecurity (sometimes masked as arrogance) that requires us to impress everyone at all times, including God Himself. There is a freedom that comes in letting go, recognizing our own neediness, resting in our inadequacy. Often through tears, we discover the precious presence of our beloved Lord.
Gain Contrition
For thus says the high and exalted One who lives forever, whose name is Holy, "I dwell on a high and holy place, and also with the contrite and lowly of spirit in order to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. Isaiah 57:15
Lose Insecurity/Arrogance
"There is no one holy like the Lord, indeed, there is no one besides you, nor is there any rock like our God. "Boast no more so very proudly, do not let arrogance come out of your mouth; for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and with Him actions are weighed. 1 Samuel 2:2-3

Learning to Rejoice in Being Pruned
"Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opprotunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything" James 1:2-4
Reading this book called 'power to praise' now, the author suggests that we thank God for bad things, for temptations, trials that reveal our sin and weaknesses, etc. It's easy to thank God for good things, but bad things? Not so easy... But Paul rejoiced in his sufferings in prison, not because he took pleasure in pain or what, but he had come to see his suffering from a different perspective. He had learned that his pain served a higher purpose and was part of God's loving plan for him.
Yup, something God is teaching me... Praise God :)

song and psalm
A friend shared this song and psalm in an email to me, i'd now like to share it with you, may it be a blessing and encouragement to all who may chance by this post:
Everlasting - by Sonicflood
The sky will fall
The ground will give
Through it all
You will be faithful
Friends may leave
They come and go
This I know
You will be faithful
You will be faithful
You will always be the same
Your love will never change
You are the everlasting
I will put my trust in You
Forever to be true
You are the everlasting
You are the everlasting
Even though we are not always faithful to God, give thanks that He is ALWAYS faithful to us and that He will never fail. Even though you may feel the ground shake beneath your feet in everyday life because of it's trials, God will always be there to steady things.
Psalm 145 ...
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures through all generations.
The LORD is faithful to all his promises
and loving toward all he has made.
14 The LORD upholds all those who fall
and lifts up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food at the proper time.
16 You open your hand
and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways
and loving toward all he has made.
18 The LORD is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cry and saves them.
20 The LORD watches over all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.
21 My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD.
Let every creature praise his holy name
for ever and ever.
So I pray that we would approach this new year with confident and assurance knowing that God's love is eternal and that He comes to us who seek Him and He hears our cries, He shares in our joys, He is our wonderful Father. Let's praise His name each day through our thoughts, our speech and our actions.

Much Afraid - Jars of Clay
Empty again
Sunken down so far
So scared to fall
I might not get up again
So I lay at your feet
All my brokenness
I carry all of my burdens to you
All of these things
I've held up in vain
No reason nor rhyme
Just the scars that remain
Of all of these things
I'm so much afraid
Scared out of my mind
By the demons I've made
Sweet Jesus, you never ever let me go
Oh, sweet Jesus, never ever let me go
So happy to love
Yet so far to go
You lead me on to where I've never been before
Dear Lord, i thank You for all that i think or feel, though i may not understand them or am afraid of them at times. I know You live in me, and that You'll work it out for Your purposes. Only grant me Your grace and strength to carry on rejoicing in You.
Amen

back in Notts
Dear all,
Yup as the title says i'm back in Notts, it's been an unforgettable trip (in a good way), though i've been away for 2 and a half weeks, it feels like a month has passed. I'm sure many things have happened in this span of time too that i'll need to catch up on, do fill me in yeah? Having mixed feelings now - it's good to be back 'home' with familiar faces and friends, but i'm also sad to part with FH, and missing the joys and carefreeness of travelling, i'm also daunted that i have a mountain of revision and exams ahead of me. But all good things must come to an end, just be thankful for this trip, that has taught me so much about myself, others and God. I've been very blessed, by this opportunity to travel, enjoy God's wonderful creations, with physical comforts and friends. God has revealed some ugly things about me, like layers of an onion being peeled away... but He's also brought new life and hope into what i thought was dying, and i'm really joyful for that. To treasure these memories, but not to live in them, but to live in the present, and hope for the future.
