I remember this slogan on Giordano t-shirts not too long ago...
A World Without Strangers. Is it really possible?
People are so caught up in their own worlds, rushing here and there, that no one really bothers to take notice of one another, offer a smile or hello, what more, strick up a conversation with a mere stranger. People look at me strangely when i start talking to them, and seem quite awkward...
I believe in divine appointments, but we need to have faith and take that step to create that opportunity. I've had some myself, and it was really amazing and encouraging, at how God can work, if we make ourselves available and depend on the Holy Spirit to work through us.
I went on the streets to share with people about the Good News of Jesus Christ with some friends recently, and 6 people of various races came to know the Lord in 2 hours! I was really amazed and encouraged. Now - that's what i see in the book of Acts!
Here's a song to share with you. You can see that i've been using youtube quite a lot to listen to songs and sometimes get guitar lessons there as well :)
So next time you're out on the streets on a plane/train/bus, do take notice of the people around you, offer a smile, or perhaps a hello and how are you. You never know if you'll meet an angel in disguise :)
Somewhere to share my life, thoughts and faith with friends, loved ones and even strangers who chance upon this place. May the Lord who loves you bless and touch your life, as He has for me.

How Can I Keep From Singing - Chris Tomlin
Dear friends and readers,
here's one of my favourite songs to share with you. Enjoy :)
Warning: Contains out of tune sections, which may cause possible ear damage
There is an endless song
Echoes in my soul
I hear the music ring
And though the storms may come
I am holding on
To the rock I cling
How can I keep from singing Your praise
How can I ever say enough
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing
I will lift my eyes
In the darkest night
For I know my Savior lives
And I will walk with You
Knowing You'll see me through
And sing the songs You give
I can sing in the troubled times
Sing when I win
I can sing when I lose my step
And fall down again
I can sing 'cause You pick me up
Sing 'cause You're there
I can sing 'cause You hear me, Lord
When I call to You in prayer
I can sing with my last breath
Sing for I know
That I'll sing with the angels
And the saints around the throne
here's one of my favourite songs to share with you. Enjoy :)

On death
Not a very nice topic to talk about with the start of a new year. But I feel compelled to speak of it.
I attended a funeral wake tonight. I don't know the deceased personally, but his children are my colleagues and good friends. It's my 2nd funeral i've been to in my life. 1st one was about 5 years ago when my friend's grandma passed away. It was a traditional buddhist funeral, and i still remember seeing a dead body for the 1st time, wasn't very pleasant.
Tonight's one was quite different. Sang hymns, and the pastor gave a short message and testimony of how the deceased came to know Christ. He was a traditional chinese who worshipped chinese gods, but he came to know the Lord through his children, and eventually accepted the Lord a few weeks before his death. Praise the Lord! Very touching and powerful testimony of God's love and grace. It is sad for the family members to lose a loved one, but i could also see the peace, hope and joy in them.
I started to think about how I wanted my funeral to be when I die. You might think it's too early/ morbid to think about such things but the Bible says that our lives might be taken away anytime. Just read the newspapers and you'll know what i mean -young men die running, or sitting at home. Life is unpredictable. You can't assume you'll live to see the next day, or hour, or even second, for that matter.
I've heard of funerals where people where the brightest colours and the happiest songs are sung because the deceased asked that his/her funeral be a joyous occassion, because he/she is in a better place with the Lord and doesn't want loved ones to be sad. I find that really inspiring.
When I die, i'd like my funeral to be a happy one :) I'd like a time of praise and worhsip with instruments, and the song "Blessed Be Your Name" to be sung. Of course, i believe there is a time for mourning and saddness, but though the sorrow lasts for the night, the joy comes in the morning! Like the title of my blog, our true home is in heaven with our Creator, Lover, Saviour and Lord. The apostle Paul said these words, "To Live is Christ, But To Die is Gain". How true. The life we live on earth is FOR Jesus, but dying is to be WITH Jesus :) Of course, we are not to take our own lives, for we are not our own. But to live each day with hope for the future, but also bearing in mind that there might not be a tomorrow either, so redeem your time so number your days so you may gain a heart of wisdom :)
